Upcoming Classes
We are looking forward to this upcoming semester. Veritas Debate Academy will offer the following courses. Upon contacting the Academy to register your student, we will send an invoice.
Payments accepted: Cash, Check, Zelle, Credit Card, and ESA Funds (Empowerment Scholarship Account).
All courses are available for students ranging in age from 12 to 18 years. Students under the age of 12 may enroll subject to staff approval and an interview with the student and parent.
NextGen Leadership Series
Spend an entire day with two individuals who have led in different ways at very high levels.
Jeff Utsch (Navy Seals trainer, former University of Arizona swim captain, olympic trials swim competitor, and ultramarathoner)
Shane Krauser (experienced trial attorney who has led teams of prosecutors, entrepreneur who has stewardship over nearly 1,000 people, best-selling author, and international speaker.)
This two-day, indoor bootcamp will teach your child the art and science of high-level leadership applied to every aspect of their lives. Our children must prepare now for a big, prosperous future, for when the time of action has anrrived, the time for preparation is over.
Children 10-18 years of age may enroll. Price includes the opportunity for parent(s) to attend as well.
Attendees should bring their own lunch, snacks, and water. We will provide snacks throughout the day as well. Attendees should also bring a notebook.

Leadership 101
Are you ready for your student to lead, have impact, develop confidence, and learn how to leave a legacy. This course is one of the best leadership courses a young person could ever experience. Students will engage in a high-energy, interactive course and will dive into the following:
*Purpose (Discovering my purpose)
*Character (Always choose character over reputation)
*Attitude (Have a positive attitude in all situations)
*Vision (Creating a mind that matches my vision for my future)
*Plan and Do (Developing a game plan/Setting goals)
*Scoreboard (Holding myself accountable)
*Friendship (The art and science of friendship)
*Finance (Developing financial/economic intelligence)
*Leadership (The art and science of leadership)
*Conflict Resolution (The art and science of conflict resolution)
*Systems (Developing a system to bring about real, desired results)
*Adversity Quotient (Developing a mindset to encounter any problem)
*Legacy (Leaving a lasting impact)This is a really fun class that will include helping your students create habits, such as reading and listening to good material daily. Standing out in society requires consistently doing those things that most won’t.
Age: 10 – 18 years of age.
Frequency: Class meets once per week for two hours for 14 sessions.

Debate/Constitution 102
Students will engage in a high-energy, interactive course that will dive into the following:
*Intermediate techniques of public speaking
*Debate (intermediate concepts and methods)
*Communication and persuasion
*U.S. Constitution
*Rule of Law
*Role of Government
*Principles of Freedom
*Deep and demanding dive into the parameters of the Bill of Rights (enumerated rights), restrictions placed on government, and current issues that implicate these ideas.
*First Amendment (Speech, Religion, and Assempbly)
*Second Amendment (Right to Bear Arms)
*Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment (Due Process)
*Eighth Amendment (Cruel and Unusual Punishment)
*10th Amendment (State Sovereignty)
*13th Amendment (Slavery)
*14th Amendment (Citizenship and Equal Protection)
*15th & 19th Amendments (Voting)
*And so much more!Prerequisites: None. However, this class should be taken at some point before or after Debate/Constitution 101.

Advanced Debate/Economics 202
Students will engage in a high-energy, interactive course that will dive into the following:
*Advanced techniques of public speaking
*Debate (advanced concepts and methods, including presidential and extemporaneous)
*Communication and persuasion
*Economic theories (with a heavy focus on Austrian economics)
*What is money?
*What creates value?
*Production and creating prosperity
*Business and entrepreneurship
*Boom and bust cycles
*Banking sytem
*And much morePrerequisites: Debate/Constitution 101 and Debate/Constitution 102 (Students should have taken both of these courses from Veritas Debate Academy or have experience in other similar courses.) Students who have taken Advanced Debate/Economics 201 should take this course next.
